Best time to visit

Widely touted as the sunniest city in Europe, Valletta boasts a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters.

Spring (March to May) is sunny and warm, with rain becoming less frequent as the season progresses. May is a good month to visit as the average high reaches 23°C (73°F).

Summer (June to August) is sunny and lovely. Temperatures hover around 30°C (86°F), though the heat is tempered by sea breezes. The Malta International Jazz Festival, held in July, is a crowd-puller.
