Newcastle International Airport is located off the A696, a major road between Otterburn (Northumberland) and Newcastle upon Tyne. The A696 connects to the A1 (the Great North Road), which stretches from London to Edinburgh, making the airport accessible from Edinburgh, Leeds, and York in about two hours.
