Flying to St Vincent and the Grenadines
Travel to St Vincent and the Grenadines is via Barbados, Grenada, Martinique, St Lucia or Trinidad and Tobago, and then on to St Vincent and the Grenadines in a prop plane. LIAT (www.liat.com) is the main airline serving St Vincent & the Grenadines.
British Airways (www.ba.com) Virgin Atlantic (www.virgin-atlantic.com) fly to Bridgetown, Barbados, from where it's a short hop with LIAT to St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Air notes:
A new airport, Argyle International Airport (AIA), is expected to open in 2016.
Flight times:
From London - 11 hours 45 minutes (including stopover); New York - 8 hours 30 minutes (including stopover).
Departure tax:
EC$40 on all international departures; children under 12 years of age and passengers departing on the same day are exempt. This is usually included in the air fare.
