Flying to Los Angeles

Los Angeles International Airport serves as a hub airport for Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Virgin America. Airlines offering flights to Los Angeles from the UK include American Airlines, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, United, Air New Zealand and Delta. Multiple airlines fly from other US cities. LA is a year-round destination but flights tend to be priciest during the school summer holidays. July and August are also the hottest months.

Location:

Ontario International Airport is located 61km (38 miles) east of Downtown Los Angeles and 37km (23 miles) west of Downtown San Bernardino.


Money:

ATMs and money exchange services can be found within the three terminals.


Luggage:

A Skycap porter service, trolleys and lockers are available at the airport. For items misplaced within the terminals, contact the airport’s designated Lost and Found department (tel: +1 909 544 5128).

Los Angeles International Airport is approximately 27km (17 miles) southwest of Los Angeles City Hall, which is located in the Civic Center district of downtown Los Angeles and serves as the focal point of the local government.

The airport is also about 53 km (33 miles) from Disneyland, the iconic amusement park in Anaheim, California.


Money:

ATMs are in Departures of every terminal.

Currency exchange counters are in the Arrivals and Departures at Terminal B (Tom Bradley International), and at Departures of Terminals 2, 4, 6 and 7.

Los Angeles International Airport does not have a postal service.


Luggage:

Luggage trolleys, or carts, can be rented across all terminals at Los Angeles International Airport for a fee of US$8 each. A variety of payment methods are accepted, including cash, debit, or credit cards.

Baggage storage facilities are not available at the airport.

Hollywood Burbank Airport is located 5km (3 miles) northwest of Burbank and 20km (12 miles) north of Los Angeles.


Money:

A bank is situated at the main entrance on Hollywood Boulevard, near economy car park C. There are ATMs located around the terminals.


Luggage:

Skycap porters are available at the airport to help with luggage. A dedicated lost and found service (tel: +1 818 729 2231) is operated by the airport police.
