Addis Ababa Bole International Airport Guide (ADD)
Addis Ababa Bole International Airport is one of Africa's primary aviation hubs. The airport, located in the Bole district of Ethiopia's capital, has two terminals. This guide provides an overview of the airport's facilities, transportation access, and nearby accommodation options.
Passengers can walk between the two terminals (International and Domestic). There is no terminal transfer shuttle available.
Addis Ababa Bole International Airport is easily accessible from the Ring Road, a major thoroughfare linking Addis Ababa and its various neighbourhoods.
Public Transport
Taxi: Two types of taxis are available outside Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. National Tour Operation Taxis have white tops and yellow bodies and are metered. Private taxis have white tops and blue bodies; some are metered, while others offer fixed prices for standard routes.
Ride-hailing: Two ride-hailing apps – RIDE and FERES – operate in Addis Ababa. Both can pick up passengers from the airport.
Shuttle: Many hotels offer shuttle services to and from the airport.

Free Wi-Fi is available. A counter selling Ethiopian SIM card is in the Arrival Hall.
Addis Ababa Bole International Airport has gift shops and duty-free outlets, allowing passengers to buy popular items like cosmetics and tobacco.

The In-Terminal Hotel, as the name suggests, is situated within the transit area of Addis Ababa Bole International Airport. It offers hourly rates, allowing weary travellers to rest before their next flight.
Located just 1km (0.5 miles) from the airport terminal, the upscale Ethiopian Skylight Hotel offers accommodation outside the terminal building.
