Entry with pets

Travellers bringing pets into Argentina must provide a veterinary health certificate, issued within 10 days of travel, confirming that the pet is healthy and fit to travel. The certificate should also verify that dogs and cats have been vaccinated against rabies within the last 12 months (or 36 months if using a three-year vaccine). The document must be endorsed by the official veterinary authority of the country of origin. Pets are typically subject to a visual inspection upon arrival, but quarantine is generally not required if all documents are in order. It is advisable to check specific airline requirements for pet travel and ensure compliance with Argentina's regulations before departure.
